Slade UK Return to The Northcourt LIVE for Christmas 2026

There are Christmas songs. And then there’s Merry Xmas Everybody.
More than half a century after Slade first unleashed it on Britain, those opening chords can still turn a room full of perfectly sensible adults into people shouting ‘IT’S CHRIIIIISTMAAAAS!’ at the top of their lungs.
On Saturday 12 December 2026, we’re doing it all again at The Northcourt LIVE in Abingdon when Slade UK return for another Christmas-season rock night, this time with local support from Hazy Rock.

Slade UK are back for Christmas
Slade UK have been bringing the look, sound and raw power of Slade to stages across the UK and Europe since 2011. Their show reaches far beyond one famous festive single, with nearly three hours of material to draw from across Slade’s huge 1970s catalogue and their later chart successes.
That means Cum On Feel The Noize, Coz I Luv You, Mama Weer All Crazee Now, Gudbuy T’Jane, Far Far Away, My Oh My and plenty more — before December gives everyone the perfect excuse for one enormous Christmas singalong.

A proper Christmas rock night in Abingdon
The Northcourt LIVE is a small grassroots venue, which is exactly why nights like this work. No distant arena stage and no sitting politely through the hits — just a band a few feet away and a room full of people singing them back.
Last year’s Slade UK show sold out, and the photographs tell you pretty much everything you need to know about the atmosphere. Christmas hats, loud guitars, ridiculous trousers and absolutely no attempt at restraint.

Hazy Rock open the night
Local band Hazy Rock will open the evening before Slade UK take over The Northcourt LIVE. It gives us exactly what a December show should have: a local opener, a packed room and a headline set built around songs everybody knows.
