Popestars return to The Northcourt LIVE on Saturday 14 November 2026, bringing the music, theatre and atmosphere of Ghost back into one of Oxfordshire’s most intimate live rooms.
A Ghost tribute built for a live room
Ghost songs thrive on big choruses, character and spectacle. Popestars lean into all three, turning the stage into something more theatrical than a straightforward tribute set while keeping the songs at the centre of the night.
The current Abingdon show is set to include favourites such as Square Hammer, Cirice, Dance Macabre, Rats and Spillways, with special guests Soulweaver joining the bill.

The Northcourt LIVE works particularly well for this kind of show because there is very little distance between band and audience. The production, costumes and characters are right in front of you, and the crowd becomes part of the atmosphere rather than watching from the far end of a large hall.

Soulweaver open the night — and there is a story behind this booking
Opening for Popestars are Soulweaver, featuring Em and Goodge, familiar faces to us through their work helping to run Legends of Rock.
There is a direct connection between this Abingdon show and Legends. Goodge came down to The Northcourt LIVE to watch Popestars the second time they played the venue. He liked what he saw enough to book them for Legends of Rock the following year. Popestars are now returning to Legends of Rock in 2027 — this time on the main stage.
It is one of those relationships that has grown naturally through live music: Popestars at The Northcourt LIVE, Goodge in the room, a Legends booking following from it, and now Soulweaver joining Popestars here in Abingdon.
